Welcome to the Inland Empire Defense Force

This website was created by airsoft players for airsoft players. It is designed with the premise of bringing airsoft players from all over the Inland Empire, regardless of skill level, together to both promote and enhance the sport.

On this site you will be able to do many things; communicate with other players, learn about upcoming games and events, buy or sell equipment and much more. The IEDF is not a single team, but a coalition of teams and mercenary airsoft players who want to discuss, organize and get the most out of their airsoft experience. IEDF has a lot to offer to players brand new to airsoft as well as to the veteran player, from gun or equipment reviews through our sponsors to actual training with military and or law enforcement.

Here at IEDF, we are open to all suggestions and or requests from anyone who is signed up in our forums. It is our ultimate goal to create a fun and energetic environment for the enjoyment of all. Please take the time to register yourself with your player name (usually a call sign), and then introduce yourself in our forums under the heading introduction. We have a section for ‘players of the month,’ which allows everyone to get more familiar with each other.

Come join us on the field, games are held almost every weekend. Check our forum section under IEDF Games and Events to find out when and where.

From the staff of IEDF, thank you for visiting the website and we look forward to seeing you out in the field.

Brief understanding of airsoft

Airsoft is a hobby that originated in the US about 30 years ago in a very rudimentary form and existed for only a short while. However, the concept took hold in Japan where in the past 20 years they developed the hobby to its current level of sophistication and realism.
It consists of replica weapons that shoot 6mm plastic round bb projectiles at a relatively low velocity (from 300 -400 fps). The guns are powered by compressed gas or rechargeable batteries and are basically a 1:1 ratio in replica size with functional controls similar to their real firearm counterparts.

Airsoft is not only for the individual citizen, but is used extensively in law enforcement and military training. Thereby, allowing participants the ability to relive actual past law enforcement or military training and experiences, or opening up new experiences to individuals that are unaccustomed to what law enforcement and military personnel actually experience in a controlled environment.

There are tense situations, intense sport play, comedic and colorful characters, shows of patriotism and an all around good feeling at the end of the day.
